SmartMMI Presentations at the INFORMATIK2020

Under the motto “Back to the Future”, the 50th annual conference of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) took place between September 28 and October 2, 2020. The conference INFORMATIK2020 took place within the GI annual conference where the research project SmartMMI, its concepts and results were presented in a session and a workshop.

The session called “Mobilitätssysteme” dealt with current developments in mobility, in particular with the approaches of digitalization of our daily mobility behavior and traffic simulation models.

The workshop called “Evaluating Intelligent and Ubiquitous Mobility Systems” (EvalIUMS) aimed to uncover current challenges in the evaluation and assessment of modern mobility systems. The workshop focused on the evaluation of the infrastructure of non-motorized road users like pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users. Among other things, concepts for establishing connections between private mobile devices and mobile public displays, in SmartMMI referred as SmartWindows, were presented. A subsequent discussion of upcoming challenges and future cooperation rounded off the workshop.
