Mock-ups of a possible visualization of information on the light rail window of the future were exhibited. The mock-ups were presented on a capacitive multi-touch monitor, where interaction is possible by touch input as well as gesture control. Furthermore, project flyers were displayed and project posters were presented. All in all, the innovative visualization and interaction concepts developed by the consortium with the SmartWindow were very well received by both the project sponsor and interested visitors to the trade fair.
The aim of SmartMMI is to provide mobility data on intelligent transparent display windows. In this way, passengers are offered a wide range of information along their route in conjunction with their mobile devices in public transport. By interacting intuitively with the SmartWindow, passengers can select information according to their individual needs and use it as the situation requires.
